You may have seen the news…TD Ameritrade is eliminating base commissions for online exchange-listed stock, ETF (domestic and Canadian), and options trades, moving from $6.95 to $0.00. TD Ameritrade Institutional has been a valued strategic partner to our firm and we’re thrilled by their move to lower the cost of investing and trading for you. The change goes into effect on October 3, 2019. That’s when you should start to see lower commissions on qualifying trades in your account(s). As you know, we also recently negotiated lower mutual fund fees as well with TD Ameritrade. We were able to lower these fees from $24 per trade to $15 per trade. That represents over a 37% reduction in their fees. Thus, they are very competitive in their pricing at this point. As always, we’re here for you if you have any questions about these exciting changes. Also, we recently posted a new 1-minute video that I thought you might find helpful on the topic of Diversification. Many people fear that a bear market might come in the time ahead. Diversification is the key to be a long-term investor. Check out this 1-minute video to learn more about this topic: https://www.wattersfinancial.com/blog/protect-your-portfolio-diversifica... Sincerely, Tim Timothy J. Watters
